Taco`s El Norte in Round Lake Beach

Great food and great service. Love the tostadas, chimichangas and nachos with meat!!!

This place was okay. Having been to several authentic Mexican restaurants in my life, it wasn't off the charts delicious. We chose this place because of the high ratings, but will likely not be back. While the food was pretty good, the margaritas tasted like they were poured right out of a pre-mixed bottle. When we arrived chips & salsa were automatically brought to the table, which was great, however we found out later that we were charged for it!! Not a big deal in grand scheme of things but they should, as good customer service, let the patrons know ahead of time. If you're looking for a typical run of the mill Mexican restaurant with decent food and nice servers, give it a shot.

Asada burritos are fantastic! The homemade salsa is always a need to be ordered item. Tostada's are nice for the smaller appetite.

Everytime I return to Chicago from Europe, this is my first stop. The papi al pastor burrito with salsa roja is my go to. Pictured is the regular burrito dinner.

I always love coming here! The food is to die for. Delicious, cooked right every time and their menu boasts a large selection of items to choose from. The waitresses are very nice and really good at checking on you to see if you're enjoying the food or need a refill. They never take forever cooking the food either. We received our order tonight before we even finished our chips! They deserve 5 stars.

Good food. We got a lot of food. You get your money worth that is for sure. You will not leave there hungry.

We waited way too long to go here! We had been to a different Tacos El Norte and this place is 100% better! Margaritas, food and service were amazing. This will become a favorite for us. Loved the salsa with chips plus two hot sauces - one green and one red (hot and I loved it). You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

Terrible service! I wanted to add beans on my tacos, and the server smirked at me & said that I’m making things complicated. All I wanted was them to add beans to my taco

Great Mexican food here. My first time visiting, menu options are really good, took more than just a couple of minutes to decide. I finally picked the tongue tacos with onion and cilantro...so yummy!!

Wow, this place is awesome. Been living hee far too long not to have tried this. We'll be back more than once. Great salsa, excellent guacamole. Had the asada tacos with beans and rice, delicious. Also tried the chicken enchiladas, and tamale, all really good.

Hands down my favorite Mexican spot in the area. Been coming here for years. This is by far the best Norte location. Always consistent, fast service, fair prices, and the ladies that serve are always friendly

I wish they had a more "stand alone" kind of building. We heard it was good food but it is tucked so far back in the plaza that it gives the illusion of a small place. However, this is not the case. It is bigger than a fair number of places locally and the food is quite good. The service is also friendly and accurate. Great job.

This place is worth visiting. They serve big portions for fair prices. Consistently clean and with excellent atmosphere. Highly recommended.

Outdoor seating. Quick order. 4 stars because the ground beef could have been higher quality.

They completely got our order wrong. We asked for certain items on our tortas and they missed the items up. I specifically asked for no cheese and the torta was full of cheese. I am not pleased with this restaurant

Love their food. However, when I want to cook at home I love to order a side of their rice and beans. I cant match their beans.

Best Burrito in town! Best service too. It took me days to finish my super Burrito making it much more than just one meal.The service was the best with very pleasant smiles and kind consideration. The atmosphere is very warm while not to overwhelming but enough to keep your eyes entertained. I've eaten here often and will be coming back for as long as the doors are open. Have a cold beer and a warm smile.

Since this democratic controlled state shutdown Im totally disappointed Tacos Elnorte showed their true colors. And they are definitely not red white and blue

I love their prices and I love their Tampiqueña dish! Their horchata water is also really good. We usually get good service, we are regulars and come here at least once a week or every other week, so we’ve had the pleasure of having different workers assist us. One in particular I don’t know her name but she has taken a liking to our baby and he has to her too! So when we go and she’s there she makes it a point to come say hi and our baby enjoys engaging with her!

I like to go with friends to this restaurant with my warmest recommendations. I visit this restaurant often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The meals are great and the stuff is efficient and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we have a lovely time. I warmly recommend this restaurant.

Tacos EL Norte in Round Lake Beach is my go too places for Mexican food. The food is delicious, the portions are generous, the prices are reasonable and the food is prepared quickly.

Excellent. I've been to most of the Tacos EL Norte locations and they're all good. I believe the different locations are owned by different members of the same family. The recipes and menus do vary from one to the other. The food and service here were great. The chips were especially good. Very crisp fresh and crunchy, not greasy, and were fried in clean oil. Like most Tacos El Nortes, the kitchen is clearly visible, so it's fun to watch the people make the food and you can see how clean things are. This is definitely an above average Mexican restaurant. Highly recommended.

Great place good food and, service has always been good. A bit more expensive than some other Mexican places, but well worth it.

They offer a nice range of fresh food. I enjoyed dining here. Staff members are always very kind, pricing is reasonable and the spot is always well organised.

My past experience with Tacos el Norte was wonderful. I will no longer be a patron here as my child found a razor blade in his taco.He’s a picky eater and isn’t to fond of tomato’s and was picking them out when he found a razor. Luckily he wasn’t hurt.I contacted the restaurant to notify them of the issue and was offered an apology and a free meal which will not be redeeming.Health and safety regulations seem to be lacking here.

This site is my preferable place. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I never miss an opportunity to go to visit this place. when I feel like having a good meal, this is the place that comes straightaway to my head. superb and diverse food and a rich menu.trained staff, and pleasant vibes. Also important, the pay is reasonable. I praise this restaurant with great pleasure.
